csi joins IPAI

csi has joined the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI). This innovation platform unites science, business and society to promote the development and implementation of human-centred, sustainable artificial intelligence. For us, membership means sharing experiences, taking up impulses from research, and developing solutions for production.

Our goal

We want to measurably shorten development cycles - from idea to market-ready product - thereby reducing our customers' time to market. We also see the IPAI as an important platform for driving new business models and fields of innovation. This enables us to continuously develop our portfolio while helping our customers create sustainable unique selling points. Continuous knowledge transfer also plays a key role for us. Through training, workshops, and direct networking, our team stays up to date and quickly and purposefully implements new technologies.

'IPAI membership is the next logical step for us in strengthening our innovative capabilities as a development partner and collaborating with others to implement AI technologies more quickly,' says Mathias Leixner, Managing Director of the csi Group.

We have over 30 years' experience supporting companies from idea to series production as a development partner. Our company's size makes us flexible, fast and close to our customers. In the market for development service providers, we therefore see ourselves as a partner for those who want to innovate and implement their ideas quickly. Our team has extensive engineering expertise, covering everything from exterior and interior design to body development, simulation, electrical and electronic systems, and project management. As we operate in various sectors, we can draw on experience from a wide range of projects and apply it to new tasks. With our Foxbyte business unit, we also develop software solutions for networked digital twins, as well as for virtual and augmented reality. Here, we are opening up new avenues for development and engineering with AI technologies, implementing solutions that are already adding value today. For example:

  • Document Intelligence on Azure: automatically reading and classifying content from PDFs and forms and transferring it to processes.
  • ‘Chat your data’ on Microsoft Stack: including SharePoint + Azure AI Foundry + Copilot Studio for secure, company-internal question-and-answer systems (RAG).
  • Understanding plans: Data extraction from building plans - e.g. rooms, symbols, dimensions - for further processing.
  • Rethinking CAx workflows: AI complements classic CAD/CAE processes - focus on end-to-end workflows instead of just ‘agents’.

The proximity of our Neckarsulm headquarters to IPAI in Heilbronn enables regular on-site exchanges and highlights the importance of membership for us. However, the most important thing is networking in terms of content. IPAI provides access to a unique ecosystem of research, start-ups, and established companies. This enables us to integrate disruptive technologies into our development processes at an early stage and design future-proof solutions with partners.

'The addition of csi confirms our role as an innovation platform and is a substantial gain for our entire community. Here at IPAI, what we need is not only technological knowledge, but also the right attitude and mindset. As an experienced development partner, CSI brings precisely the hands-on mentality and clear focus on concrete application that drives our shared vision forward.' Moritz Gräter, CEO of IPAI

We are looking forward to engaging in dialogue, knowledge transfer and collaboration with members of the network. This will allow us to contribute our experience and innovative strength in a more targeted way, and help us to actively shape the future.
