csi GOES LAS VEGAS AT THE CES

csi and CCASS in the desert - or: what do the hidden Markov models have to do with cockpit HMI?

It was that time again. The legendary CES and, parallel to it, the scientific conference IEEE ICCE, took place in Las Vegas. The event has increasingly developed into one of the most important events for the automotive industry in recent years.

As a partner to the automotive industry, we were on site and held two presentations at the IEEE ICCE.

Among other things, we presented a design which resulted from a cooperation project between the CCASS (Competence Center for Applied Sensor System), the University of Darmstadt and csi. It concerned the use of hidden Markov models to improve gesture recognition using inertial senor technology in the automotive cockpit.
