We build bridges between design and technology
In modern vehicle development, we act as a bridge between creative visions and challenging technical requirements.

With decades of experience, we meet the complex requirements of automotive development. Shorter development cycles, increasing complexity or special circumstances such as small series, prototypes or motorsport require us to be extremely flexible and provide customized solutions - we are constantly ready to reinvent ourselves and meet the challenges.
ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our specialists develop high-precision Class A surfaces for the entire vehicle. The spectrum ranges from the visible outer skin components of the exterior to highly complex, ergonomic free-form surfaces in the vehicle interior. In order to ensure this Class-A quality even for very large projects, we rely on a Strak specialist community that has grown over the years and flexibly absorbs peaks in capacity utilization.
To translate design intentions, technical specifications and product-related requirements into precise CAD surfaces, industry-leading tools are used in surface development. We work with ICEM Surf, Siemens NX, CATIA, XV5 and ALIAS, among others. This system landscape is supplemented by programs such as Blender, Rhino and Grasshopper.
Creating sustainable and efficient concepts for modern vehicles is an integral part of our development DNA. Through intelligent component structures and the targeted use of advanced materials, we actively contribute to optimizing vehicle weight and conserving resources.
Our strength lies in a Strak professional community that has grown over the years. Our teams know the requirements of their customers very well and at the same time can support each other across projects. This enables us to reliably implement even larger strak projects, flexibly absorb load peaks and bring in the experience necessary for Class A quality.
Thanks to decades of experience as a Strak development service provider, we are familiar with the classic conflicting goals. Our Strakers translate the aesthetic surface models and design intentions into high-precision, functional CAD data, which can then be processed directly and error-free for the design of the vehicle structure.
A design must not only be visually convincing, but also highly functional and user-friendly. That's why we work closely with the design departments at Digital Surfacing and use, for example, CAD and ergonomic models to define perfect surfaces for complex scopes (such as seat development) that are later visible, perceptible and absolutely quality-defining in the vehicle.
We ensure the convergence between design and technologically demanding requirements at every stage of product development. Through this consistent comparison, we achieve the best possible dimensional accuracy and transfer the original design into a technologically mature, producible end product. In doing so, we consistently align our decisions and design with the respective project goal.
In vehicle development, the so-called Strak team acts as an indispensable bridge between the creative design of tomorrow's vehicles and technically complex requirements. We transform the design visions into visible, buildable Class A surfaces. In doing so, design, technical, legal and – especially in the exterior – aerodynamic requirements are networked with each other and combined with aesthetics, function and technical feasibility.
