Studies

For the fields of vehicle development, project management, simulation and software development we are always looking for talented students and great additions to our team with a core study focus on technical fields and who want to gain valuable experiences in the automotive industry. But we also offer students the possibility to become active in our commercial department. For further information please contact our Recruiting Team!

After a short introduction and training period, you get directly involved into running projects during your practical semester where you get to experience real working situations.

Your final thesis – no matter if Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree – will be about current and practically relevant topics which you will develop according to your personal interests together with your supervisor at csi.

If you want to do an internship or your final thesis with csi, you do not necessarily require pre-knowledge in one of the corresponding fields – you get the chance to build and expand your knowledge during trainings at our csi academy! Furthermore, your supervisor will always be available for your questions.

Do you wish to chat about different possibilities as a student or graduate or get to know us in person? Come and visit us at one of our university fairs, you will find the dates HERE.

How did you hear about csi entwicklungstechnik? Why did you decide for this organization?

During the university fair at the University of Karlsruhe, the outstanding fair stand of csi caught immediately my attention. The extraordinary campaign “csi rocks” was an enriching variety in comparison to the less representative stands of the competition.

I decided to apply at csi, a medium-sized organization, so I could get a deeper and more diverse insight into different processes within a small team instead of just being a number out of many in a bigger organization.

Which tasks did you get assigned to?

I spent 6 months of my practical semester as a member of the Cockpit team. After I got familiarized with the CATIA-V5 system I obtained the possibility to take over many diverse tasks of daily work. In times of less work of course I also had to do typical apprentice works such as transportation and delivery rides.

What did you like best?

I appreciated the active participation in real projects. This, in fact, can only be realized through huge trust on both sides. From the beginning on I was impressed by the very good work atmosphere and modern leadership style.

Which awareness did you get through your internship at csi?

I could develop myself personally further and got an authentic insight into daily routine of designers.

Which knowledge learned from your studies could you apply?

In the constructive area I was able to expand my knowledge even more within a few days rather than during an entire CAD lecture at my university. This is why I believe that the main part taken away from the studies is the scientific approach in order to solve problems.

Did the internship help you for your studies at university?

Seen from a professional point of view there were no huge advantages that I could acquire through the internship since there were barely any overlaps to the syllabus of the following semesters.

What followed after your internship?

After my practical semester I got offered the opportunity to write my final thesis at csi. And after I successfully completed my thesis and studies, I also got offered a job there.

Would you recommend doing an internship at csi?

In retrospective I can say that I made the right choice and I am very happy I got the chance to start with my practical semester there. This is why I can highly recommend working for csi.
